Using the Documentation
Contextual Help
While using nGage.band, you can access contextual help at any time:
- Help Icon - Click the help icon (?) in the top-right corner of any page
- Module-Specific Help - The help content automatically adapts to the module you're currently viewing
- Full Documentation - Click "View full documentation" in the help modal to see complete guides
Search Documentation
Use the search box in the documentation sidebar to quickly find information about any topic.
Module Documentation Structure
Each module has two types of documentation:
- User Manual (
manual.md) - Complete guide for end users, covering all features and workflows
- Technical Documentation (
documentation.md) - Technical details for developers and administrators
Key Concepts
Bands
Everything in nGage.band revolves around bands. A band is a group of users working together. You can:
- Be a member of multiple bands
- Switch between bands using the band selector
- Each band has its own songs, files, events, and members
Permissions
Access to features is controlled by permissions:
- Package-level permissions - Set by your subscription package
- Band-level permissions - Set by band administrators
- Module permissions - Control access to specific modules
Entity Context
Many features require you to select a band first. The current selected band is shown in the top navigation bar.
