nGage Glow is the Android app for stage lighting with affordable RGB lights. You manage lights, shows and scenes on your phone, and you run the gig from there.

You add and rename lights, build shows and scenes, place lights on the stage, run the setlist, and fire looks live over Bluetooth. Pair once with your nGage account so bands and shows can sync when you are online.

On a computer you can also open Glow under Band → Tools if you prefer a larger screen. The phone remains how you talk to the lights. Add, remove and rename lights only in the app.

On the stage, drag a box around lights to select several. Drag any selected light to move them together. Right-click (or long-press) for copy, paste, add to group, or new group. In Play, select lights on the stage to adjust color and brightness live — those changes are temporary and not saved.

On a phone or tablet, use the Glow app. The desk is for computers.

Use the app

  1. Install nGage Glow and enter your pairing code (see below).
  2. Open Lights to scan, connect, rename or remove lights.
  3. Pin a band on Home (or use On this phone), create a show, add scenes and a stage plot.
  4. During the gig, tap scenes or use setlist view; faders and blackout stay on the phone.

You do not need a laptop for a full show. Keep Bluetooth on and the app open near the lights.

Pair with nGage

Open My account → nGage Glow. The large code (starts with NG-) is unique to you. Enter it once in the Glow app. Spaces and dashes are optional.

Glow works on one phone per nGage user. Entering the same code on a new phone signs the old one out the next time it is online. Disconnect device leaves the code as it is. Create new code if the old one was shared or a phone was lost.

After the first connection, the phone app keeps working without mobile data. nGage only needs to see it again every few weeks when you are online.

Optional: Glow desk on a computer

If you prefer a larger screen, open Band → Tools → Glow. Scenes and Glow setlists for the band can be edited there as well. Live output still goes through the paired phone (Bridge online when the app has checked in recently). You can edit while offline; live fire waits for the phone.

Under the show list, a short note explains what nGage Glow is. At the bottom of the page, Download for Android installs the phone app. In the public demo that download stays on screen but does not run.

If this band has no lights yet, the desk stays closed. The page tells you to add lights in the nGage Glow app first, and offers the same Android download. Under that, it lists lights tested with Glow. Each row links to that light on Amazon. The list states that those are affiliate links: a purchase through them earns a commission, and the price stays the same. The phone download page shows the same list. After the app has synced at least one light, this page opens the desk.

Edit

Column 1 is Glow setlists / scenes; column 2 is settings for the selected item; column 3 is the stage. Click a scene or a light to edit. Groups, grid, align and lock match the app. Right-click a light for Copy, Paste and Apply look to all lights. Fullscreen expands Edit; Play is a separate dark theatre view.

Play

Tap a scene to fire it. Blackout is the teal kill button. Master and group faders scale brightness without rewriting saved looks. Close with the X to return to Edit.
